Half-frames

These photographs were taken with a pocket-sized Olympus Pen EE2.  The works investigate elements of composition, juxtaposition and spontaneity.  Photographing an image while keeping in mind each of the two half-frames within the context of the full frame foregrounds the passage of time.  Each of the ‘half-frame’ photographs share a black band; always slightly askew, this feature references the film frame.
